This summer, Shun Tak Group (the “Group”) had extended its flagship environmental initiative “Think Green • Live Green” to the community. A series of sustainability-focused activities has been rolled out across the Group’s shopping malls in Hong Kong and Macao, encouraging the public to embrace greener, lower-carbon lifestyles through small changes in their everyday habits.

Shun Tak Centre successfully held the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Recycling Programme on 24 July. Accepting household electrical appliances including computers, monitors and refrigerators, received enthusiastic support from tenants. In addition, the mall previously hosted the “Eco-Pioneer” program for children from The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong. Participants learnt how to integrate green practices into daily lives through interactive games and lively presentations, followed by a tour of the environmental and recycling facilities on site to gain first-hand environmental protection knowledge. Upon completing the program, each child received an “Eco-Pioneer” certificate and reusable tableware, nurturing their green awareness and sustainable living habits from a young age.

Meanwhile, The Westwood, liberté place and Chatham Place have woven green living elements into their summer thematic campaign. From 24 July to 31 August, shoppers who bring their own reusable bags or cups, decline disposable cutlery, or use personal tableware when shopping or ordering takeaway at designated merchants can redeem a gift with same-day purchase receipts, turning simple everyday actions into meaningful waste reduction efforts.

Macao’s NOVA Mall has also launched a green shopping rewards program for the summer holidays. From 3 to 31 August (Mondays to Fridays), shoppers who make designated purchases at participating merchants without purchasing additional shopping bags can redeem rewards, fostering sustainable consumption habits.

We believe every small change can make a positive impact on the environment. Moving forward, the Group will continue to implement the “Think Green • Live Green” initiative and extend its eco-outreach to more communities. Together, let’s turn ideas into action through “Think Green • Live Green,” make sustainable living part of our daily lives, and build a greener future for our communities.
