Shun Tak-China Travel Ship Management Limited (“︁Shun Tak-China Travel”︁) has further deepened its cooperation with Shenzhen Airport Group following the launch of the Macao-Shenzhen Airport Ferry route in November last year. The company has now established a dedicated city check-in lounge at Macao’s Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal to provide greater convenience and efficiency for passengers transiting through Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport.

The opening ceremony of the city check-in lounge took place at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal on 3 February in a lively atmosphere. Mr. Chan Un Seng, Head of the Macao Marine and Water Bureau, Ms. Anna Hong, General Manager of Shun Tak-China Travel, and a representative from Shenzhen Airport Group officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony, witnessing a new milestone in integrated sea-air transportation between Shenzhen and Macao. Numerous government officials and industry guests also attended the ceremony, jointly witnessing another milestone in the Greater Bay Area transport connectivity.

Located at Macao’s Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, the new city check-in lounge works in tandem with hourly high-speed ferry services to offer upstream check-in and dedicated airport shuttle transfers upon arrival for passengers heading to Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. This seamless sea-air integration further optimises the commuting, transit, and leisure travel experience between Shenzhen and Macao, while advancing the facilitation and internationalisation of cross-city travel.

Mr. Alfred Ng, Director of Macao Services Division of Shun Tak-China Travel, said: “︁The establishment of the Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal city check-in lounge represents a key step in our deepening collaboration with Shenzhen Airport, working together to deliver a more seamless travel experience for residents and visitors heading to Shenzhen Airport. Coinciding with the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, Shun Tak Group, as a integrated cultural tourism conglomerate rooted in the GBA, will align with the transportation initiatives outlined in the national plan by continuously integrating sea, land and air resources. Leveraging its strengths in maritime passenger transport and tourism innovation, the Group will actively promote the deep integration of multi-modal transport, connect urban dynamics, tourism vitality and cultural appeal to support the development of an efficient and convenient modern integrated transportation system in the Bay Area, and inject new momentum into the regional synergy and high-quality development.
