Ms. Pansy Ho, Group Executive Chairman and Managing Director, interviewed with over 20 media outlets from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau with the theme of celebrating the 25th anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland. Ms. Pansy Ho said that with the country’s staunch support, Macau has experienced an impressive and vibrant economic growth and has embraced greater opportunities since its reunification with the Country. While enjoying the favourable policy granted by the country, Shun Tak Group also insists on fulfilling its corporate responsibility and contributing to the diversified development of Macao and the improvement of the living standards of its citizens by upholding the principle of “upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground”.

The Group partnered with China Travel International Investment Hong Kong Limited to establish one of the world’s largest jetfoil fleets—TurboJET, providing high-speed passenger ferry services between Macau, Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta. On this basis, we enrich our multi-modal transportation network, contributing to create a “one-hour living circle” in the Greater Bay Area and further connect to the global markets. The Group was a pioneer in introducing top-tier hotel services to Macau, improving the service standards and reception capacity of the overall hotel industry as well as cultivating professional service teams with international vision. One of Macau’s most iconic tourist attractions, the Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre, is operated by Shun Tak Group and has become the first non-gaming attraction and international standard MICE venue in Macau.

Ms. Pansy Ho said that Macau is the perfect crossroad for the meeting of East and West cultures, with tourism as one of its pillar industries. Looking forward, we should take advantage of the 144-hour visa-free transit policy for foreign tour groups entering Guangdong via Hong Kong and Macau and make good use of four international airports in the Greater Bay Area, attracting more foreign tourists to enjoy multi-destination journeys via Macau, polishing further Macau’s “golden business card” as an international metropolis and promoting diverse Chinese culture. Deploying a “Tourism +” strategy, the Group will integrate diverse elements such as art and culture into our developments, using innovative ways, technologies and concepts to facilitate cross-sector development and the growth of cultural tourism, making contribution to polish further Macau’s “golden business card” as an international metropolis.
