Ms. Pansy Ho, Group Executive Chairman and Managing Director, attended the “Symposium with Hong Kong business leaders” arranged by the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council (HKMAO) last Friday in Shenzhen. She shared our Group’s initiatives to Hong Kong and country’s development and said that we will continue to uphold the spirit of entrepreneurship and the principle of “upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground”, support the transformation and upgrading of tourism industry by leveraging our strengths to meet the country’s and Hong Kong’s needs.
The Group has been pioneered the tourism and transportation industries in Hong Kong and Macau for over 60 years. Hong Kong is always the homebase of the Shun Tak Group. Ms. Pansy Ho said that Shun Tak has taken up its responsibilities by actively participating and investing in the local cultural and tourism industries, such as the “Adventure Zone” at Ocean Park Hong Kong and Kai Tak Cruise Terminal etc.
She also said that by implementing “Tourism+” as our growth strategy and leveraging our multimodal transportation in the Greater Bay Area, the group will continue to promote the integration of culture and tourism and develop innovative multi-destination journeys via Hong Kong, assisting Hong Kong in developing into an international tourism hub and a core demonstration zone for multi-destination tours, and supporting the city in establishing new economic growth points.
Looking forward, the group will continue to reinforce our position as a cultural tourism conglomerate based in the GBA by seizing the historic opportunities brought by national development and dovetailing our development with national strategies, adhering to the integrated development of culture and tourism, embracing new technologies, new business forms and new demands, developing cross-regional or cross-industrial cultural tourism products. We support the city to speed up improvements of tourism industry and build a better Hong Kong together, meanwhile continue to deepen foreign exchanges and co-operation on tourism, making proactive contributions to Chinese-style Modernisation.
