Deploying a “Tourism +” strategy, Shun Tak Group (“the Group”) has for long prided itself on being an integrated cultural tourism conglomerate based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. As cultural tourism industry nowadays has become a new driving force and new engine for economic growth, the Group takes advantage of our strong connection with state-owned enterprises and international corporations, to facilitate cross-sector development and high-quality development of cultural tourism industry. In order to support our young people aspiring to pursue a career in cultural tourism industry, the Group partnered with Hong Kong’s Lingnan Secondary School and launched the community investment project “T+ Exploration”, aiming to build a social practice platform for students and help them enhance related knowledge and seize future opportunities through industry exposure and skills enrichment outside of textbooks.
Recently, the Group invited a group of around 20 students and teachers from the “Tourism and Hospitality Studies” elective of Hong Kong’s Lingnan Secondary School to join “T+ Exploration” project and enjoy a day trip in Macau. The trip enabled the students to gain an insightful view of Macau’s Tourism+ landscape firsthand – from experiencing TurboJET’s high-speed ferry service and Shun Tak & CITS Coach’s point-to-point ground transportation; exploring the versatile offerings of Macau Tower’s meeting & conference facilities and urban adventure; getting a taste of retail operations with Stecco Natura; gaining insights from Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau on luxury hotel operation and career path; being introduced to lifestyle shopping destination NOVA Mall; as well as appreciating Macau’s cultural heritage along a Macau Cruise tour.
The Group believes in the value of “Integrity and Virtue” and is dedicated to giving back to society, including nurturing our next generation of talent. We believe that beyond the classroom, such immersive exposure helps nurture the students’ interest in tourism careers. We hope initiatives like “T+ Exploration” can help young minds explore possibilities and play a role in tourism development in Hong Kong, Macau and beyond.
